Risk Management and Insurance Services
The Risk Management and Insurance Services Division focuses in three areas: Benefits Administration, Insurance and Risk Finance, and Integrated Disability Management. Our Benefits Administration Team administers our insurance and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. They also administer various voluntary benefit programs, such as optional life insurance and flexible spending accounts for eligible employees, retirees, and their dependents. The Insurance/Risk Finance function is composed of two sections: Risk Finance and Property & Liability, and focuses on protecting the District’s assets against various risks. The Integrated Disability Management (IDM) Department focuses on employee absence and disability management, as well as industrial injury related functions in the District. IDM is composed of two sections: Disability Management and Workers' Compensation. Each section has a unique role in promoting the return of injured, ill, or disabled employees to gainful employment.
